About
Pretty much as far back as I can remember, I've had a deep love for the outdoors and a fascination with wildlife and nature - whether it was observing colorful fish through my foggy snorkeling goggles in the Caribbean as a kid, gazing up at the night sky bursting with stars in northern Maine or taking in the crisp mountain air while hiking the Whites with my dad in every season. My dad is an avid mountaineer and my mom a passionate and talented landscape and wildlife photographer, so I guess it's no wonder why I turned out this way. After at least a few years of encouraging me to pick up a camera, I finally agreed to join my mom on one of her outings, which happened to be scouting for snowy owls on a very snowy day in Massachusetts. Surprisingly it was just the two of us exploring this location that day, and after a couple hours of searching, my eyes grew wide as I spotted one (my first time seeing a snowy) on a pole in the distance through the binoculars. We slowly inched our way closer, found cover behind some bushes once we were within shooting distance, and traded her D500 back and forth as the snow continued to fall around us and the snowy. I may not have admitted it at the time, but I was hooked.

I've since found a second home behind my camera and feel so fortunate to have discovered a true passion relatively early in life. There is an endless amount of beauty to behold, and to share even a sliver of it through my lens brings me tremendous joy. I love how photography continually pushes my creative boundaries, often faced with quick decisions (esp. with wildlife!) around light, angles, composition and positioning in order to bring a certain vision to life. Primarily due to accessibility, I mostly focus on bird photography, and have a special interest in raptors and owls.

I live in the greater Boston area with my girlfriend and five-year-old golden retriever, Tempest. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy browsing my gallery!
